Bretton Hall Teacher Training College was, in 1958, one of only two colleges specialising in Art Teaching. The tutoring was sketchy, and most of the valuable skills came from learning on the job. First at Beighton Secondary Modern (challenging) and later at Norfolk School on Craddock Road, Sheffield.

This eventually led to further classes under her own leadership teaching Acrylics and Watercolour painting to adults. The subject matter is varied and challenging, and the classes follow a lesson-
Isabel encourages her students to continually learn new skills, and to develop their own styles.The classes suit both beginners and more experienced students, each progressing at their own speed.
Most recently,
Isabel has become an Art Tutor as part of the on board activity for the Fred Olsen cruise liner ‘Bouddica’
